About the role

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to design, develop, and maintain features for our EMR platform built with Ruby on Rails
- Contribute to improving and maintaining our automated testing infrastructure, helping ensure stability, performance, and code quality across the platform
- Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing ideas and solutions
- Write and maintain clear technical documentation to support ongoing development and knowledge sharing
- Help identify opportunities to improve system performance, developer workflows, and overall product quality
- Report to the CTO, under the direction of the Development Team Lead
Requirements
- Experience developing web applications
- Solid understanding of software development principles, testing practices, and version control (Git)
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge with teammates
- Nice to Have: Experience working with EMR, healthcare software, or regulated environments
- Experience with full stack Ruby on Rails (including turbo + hotwire)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (OpenTofu/Terraform, AWS)
- Experience improving automated testing frameworks (rspec, playwright)
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks or front-end technologies
