About the role
- Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure for data handling at Avanquest. Focused on ensuring data accessibility and reliability for data scientists and analysts.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data ingestion and transformation processes.
- Write and test scripts for data cleaning and ETL.
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of data pipelines.
- Become familiar with data storage solutions and tools.
- Design and implement data processing pipelines.
- Optimize existing ETL processes for performance.
- Ensure data lineage and data quality.
- Develop documentation for data engineering processes and standards.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of SQL, lakehouse concepts, and ETL tools.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with Databricks, dbt, and cloud platforms is a plus.
