- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and foster a culture that values data and its strategic use
- Support an ambitious model development and pricing plan for commercial insurance
- Design and deploy modern tools and innovative pricing solutions
Requirements
- More than 7 years of experience in data science, actuarial work or a similar analytical role
- Cross-functional skills that enable effective collaboration with diverse teams: data science, actuarial, engineering and insurance functions
- Advanced expertise in pricing modeling and related areas (e.g., machine learning, programming, price elasticity, retention, conversion modeling)
- Recognized as an expert in one or more domains: pricing, underwriting, claims, predictive modeling, data science or other insurance functions
- Excellent coaching skills, demonstrated by the successful development of colleagues or teams
- Ability not only to design a high-performing solution or algorithm, but also to secure buy-in, enthusiasm and engagement around it
- Recognized expertise in related fields such as statistics, insurance product knowledge or IT/computer science
- Proficiency in English in addition to French is required to communicate, verbally and in writing, with our clients, partners and other Aviva teams across Canada.
