About the role

Responsibilities
- Investigate assigned claims files, including conducting on-site visits to loss locations to gather necessary information and assess damages
- Coordinate the activities of the various stakeholders involved in a file and make decisions regarding claims payments
- Obtain estimates, verify invoices submitted by insureds and suppliers, and determine payable indemnities in accordance with the insurance policy coverages
- Identify files with potential fraud or recovery/subrogation issues and refer them to the appropriate teams
- Authorize claim settlements within assigned payment authority limits
Requirements
- College diploma or a college-level certificate in property and casualty (P&C) insurance
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an external claims adjuster
- Hold a valid Commercial Insurance Claims Adjuster certificate issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF)
- Hold the P.A.A. designation or be in the process of obtaining it
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written, and advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written
