About the role
- Senior Mobile Developer building Brim Financial’s cross-platform iOS and Android fintech app. Owning architecture, launch, releases, and ongoing improvements from zero to one.
Responsibilities
- Design and build Brim's new cross-platform mobile app from scratch
- Own architecture, implementation, testing, and release
- Choose and set up the tech stack, project structure, CI/CD pipeline, and coding standards
- Partner with Product and Design to turn requirements and mockups into polished user experiences
- Integrate with Brim's APIs and backend services
- Collaborate with platform engineers when backend changes are needed
- Build with security, privacy, and reliability in mind
- Manage Apple App Store and Google Play submission and release processes
- Monitor performance and stability after launch
- Fix bugs and ship regular improvements based on user feedback and data
- Document the codebase and key decisions for handoff or team scaling
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping mobile applications
- 3+ years with a cross-platform framework
- Strong proficiency in React Native
- Working knowledge of native iOS and Android, including Swift/Kotlin
- Experience launching at least one app to the App Store and/or Google Play and managing the release process
- Experience integrating REST APIs
- Experience with authentication, state management, and local data storage
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD for mobile
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to prioritize and deliver with limited oversight
- Curiosity about AI tools and eagerness to use them
- Excellent communication of technical trade-offs to non-technical teammates
