About the role
- Part-time Shift Leader supervising store operations, staff, sales, customer service and inventory. Supporting Canna Cabana, High Tide’s Canadian cannabis retail chain, in Beaumont, Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
- Oversee Store Manager responsibilities when the SM or ASM is absent
- Assist with personnel management and resolve customer service issues
- Provide direction, guidance and instruction to store associates
- Maintain store conditions according to established standards
- Assist with staffing levels when requested
- Act as sales and customer service leader and role model when SM/ASM is absent
- Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
- Ensure company policies and applicable legislation are followed
- Handle and escalate customer complaints as necessary
- Ensure health, safety and security regulations and standards are met
- Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
- Ensure employees pursue sales goals
- Oversee and assist inventory management and shift inventory processes
Requirements
- Must have valid SellSafe Certification
- Completion of high school and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
- Demonstrated sales and service orientation required
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required; cannabis industry preferred
- A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required
- Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required
- Basic office administration skills required
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and different locations
