About the role
- Zoom Boom Operator for turnaround operations at the CNRL Horizon Site. Responsible for safely operating telehandlers and supporting construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Zoom Boom (Telehandler) equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and site requirements
- Transport, load, unload, and position materials, tools, and equipment safely throughout the project site
- Perform pre-use inspections and complete daily equipment inspection reports
- Identify and report equipment defects or maintenance requirements promptly
- Work closely with supervision, trades, and other site personnel to support daily operations
- Maintain awareness of site hazards and ensure safe operation around personnel and equipment
- Follow lift plans and assist with material handling in accordance with project requirements
- Maintain excellent housekeeping practices and ensure work areas remain clean and organized
- Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Canoco safety standards and client-specific requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience operating Zoom Boom (Telehandler) equipment in an industrial or construction environment
- Experience working in the Oil & Gas industry is considered a strong asset
- Valid Telehandler/Zoom Boom Operator certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Required certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO, WHMIS 2015, Confined Space, and Fall Protection
- Ability to commit to a 12 & 2 rotation, working up to 12-hour days for the full duration of the turnaround
