About the role
- Snowflake Data Engineer at Capgemini; responsible for designing and maintaining data warehouse solutions. Focused on analytics support and infrastructure optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions using Snowflake
- Work extensively with Snowflake architecture , including: Virtual Warehouses, Micro‑partitions, Clustering, Data Sharing
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries , views, and stored procedures
- Build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines using tools such as: Informatica, Matillion, Apache Airflow or similar frameworks
- Implement and optimize data models (Star and Snowflake schemas).
- Perform performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake
- Integrate Snowflake with cloud storage and services.
- Ensure adherence to data security , role‑based access control (RBAC), and governance best practices.
- Collaborate closely with analytics, reporting, and business teams
Requirements
- 7–9 years of experience in Data Warehousing & Analytics
- Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Matillion, Airflow, or similar)
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms : AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines , Git , and version control
- Good understanding of analytics engineering best practices.
- Experience in large‑scale enterprise data platforms
- Exposure to advanced Snowflake features and cost optimization strategies
- Prior experience supporting analytics and BI use cases
