About the role

  • Snowflake Data Engineer at Capgemini; responsible for designing and maintaining data warehouse solutions. Focused on analytics support and infrastructure optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions using Snowflake
  • Work extensively with Snowflake architecture , including: Virtual Warehouses, Micro‑partitions, Clustering, Data Sharing
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries , views, and stored procedures
  • Build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines using tools such as: Informatica, Matillion, Apache Airflow or similar frameworks
  • Implement and optimize data models (Star and Snowflake schemas).
  • Perform performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake
  • Integrate Snowflake with cloud storage and services.
  • Ensure adherence to data security , role‑based access control (RBAC), and governance best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with analytics, reporting, and business teams

Requirements

  • 7–9 years of experience in Data Warehousing & Analytics
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Matillion, Airflow, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms : AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines , Git , and version control
  • Good understanding of analytics engineering best practices.
  • Experience in large‑scale enterprise data platforms
  • Exposure to advanced Snowflake features and cost optimization strategies
  • Prior experience supporting analytics and BI use cases
