About the role
- Director of IT Cybersecurity leading the Alberta Blue Cross cybersecurity strategy and overseeing a team of managers. Building relationships with executives and ensuring robust cybersecurity practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire cybersecurity teams
- Define and execute a multi-year cybersecurity strategy
- Manage and support the continuous assessment of cybersecurity practices
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives
- Establish and maintain strategic external partnerships
- Direct the response to critical cybersecurity incidents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
- 5+ years overseeing enterprise cybersecurity portfolios
- Strong knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting and forecasting
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Strong strategic thinking and data-driven decision making skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated change leadership
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments
