About the role

  • Director of IT Cybersecurity leading the Alberta Blue Cross cybersecurity strategy and overseeing a team of managers. Building relationships with executives and ensuring robust cybersecurity practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire cybersecurity teams
  • Define and execute a multi-year cybersecurity strategy
  • Manage and support the continuous assessment of cybersecurity practices
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives
  • Establish and maintain strategic external partnerships
  • Direct the response to critical cybersecurity incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
  • 5+ years overseeing enterprise cybersecurity portfolios
  • Strong knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting and forecasting
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and data-driven decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated change leadership
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments
