Responsibilities
Lead the development and evaluation of wellness strategies and programs that integrate Indigenous teachings, trauma-informed practices, and evidence-based approaches
Mentor wellness staff and advise organizational leadership on culturally responsive wellness policies
Design, facilitate, and continuously improve wellness, creative, and peer-connection activities rooted in Indigenous cultural practices
Provide one-on-one support and regular check-ins to Claims Helpers and team members
Support Elders in Sharing Circles and promote emotional, cultural, and mental wellness across project teams
Participate in wellness program development, review, and planning sessions
Requirements
7 plus years of experience in helping or human services roles, ideally within an Indigenous community or organization
Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field (social work, counselling, Indigenous studies, health promotion, organizational psychology, etc.)
Deep personal connection to and understanding of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and ways of knowing, being, and doing, gained through lived experience
Expertise in Indigenous-based mental health, trauma-informed care, and culturally safe wellness practices
Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring, coaching, or overseeing wellness programs
Ability to advise organizational leadership on culturally responsive wellness practices
Experience facilitating workshops, circles, group sessions, or cultural wellness events
Commitment to cultural humility, reconciliation, and continuous learning
