About the role
- Intern supporting Sustainable Packaging and Project Research initiatives at Circular Materials. Coordinating projects, conducting research, and assisting with administrative activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination of special projects, including audits and field assessments at pre-conditioning facilities (recycling facilities).
- Assist with statistical data analysis, and reporting.
- Support administrative activities related to packaging recyclability guidelines, research and implementation.
- Support the creation of content for the packaging recyclability guidelines.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities to assist with strategic planning.
- Support ad hoc projects assigned by the Sustainable Packaging, Research and Innovation team.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a post-secondary degree program in Environmental Science, Waste Management, Circular Economy, Packaging or Sustainability.
- Proficient in Adobe Suites, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of waste management, recycling, packaging
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skills in data analysis are an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to work collaboratively with a variety of teams.
