About the role

  • Senior Accounting Advisory Consultant delivering fund accounting and reporting solutions for financial services clients. Optimizing finance processes, financial systems, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly NAV calculations and reconciliations for investment funds
  • Maintain financial records, journal entries, general ledger activity, financial statements, footnotes, and cash flow reports
  • Analyze portfolio activity, income allocations, expense accruals, and fund performance for financial reporting, audits, and regulatory filings
  • Process fund transactions, fee payments, and cash reconciliations; collaborate with investment managers, custodians, and administrators to resolve discrepancies
  • Partner with CFOs and finance leaders on process optimization, operational improvements, monthly close, and ERP/cloud finance system enhancements
  • Prepare and review financial statements, SEC disclosures, internal reporting packs, cash flow statements, and regulatory filings
  • Perform reconciliations, roll-forwards, flux analysis, and remediation of process gaps
  • Communicate project findings, updates, and recommendations to clients and cross-functional teams
  • Serve financial services clients as a trusted Accounting Advisory partner delivering tailored integrated solutions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience advising financial services clients on fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational processes, or 3+ years of direct fund finance experience
  • Prior professional services experience in public accounting, advisory, or management consulting
  • Hands-on experience with finance and fund accounting systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, Investran, Geneva, or SAP
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CA certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients
