About the role

  • Rope Access Technician performing blade repairs and inspections for wind energy projects. Role requires travel across Canada with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Category 1–5 blade repairs independently
  • Conduct internal and external blade inspections and defect analysis
  • Repair fiberglass and composite components (blades, nacelles, hub/nose cones)
  • Complete time tracking via Daily Work Report (DWR) and submit detailed repair documentation to Operations Manager & Engineering
  • Train and mentor junior technicians (Level 1 & 2)
  • Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Required Certifications: IRATA 3 or SPRAT Rope Access Certification
  • Full GWO Certification (BST, ART, BTT)
  • Additional Certifications (preferred or required depending on project): Arc Flash / NFPA 70E, Confined Space & Rescue, WHMIS, Respirator Fit Testing, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Experience in blade repair, composites, or similar mechanical work
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s licence with a satisfactory record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to travel extensively across Canada
  • Physically capable of performing job duties
