About the role
- Senior Software Engineer building scalable Python and AWS infrastructure for d1g1t’s institutional wealth management platform. Driving implementation, deployment, troubleshooting, and large-dataset performance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product team to understand and shape functional requirements
- Design and implement solutions using Python, Django, and other tools, focusing on quality, performance, and scalability
- Drive implementation from conception to deployment
- Collaborate with other engineers and write effective, well-tested code
- Maintain and improve the existing codebase
- Troubleshoot issues and review tickets
- Provide work updates and feedback to others
- Drive projects from implementation to deployment and maintain current projects
- Influence engineering direction and product decisions while taking ownership of work
- Ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements
- Experienced-level candidate
- Strong proficiency in Python and code-design principles
- Experience with Django or a similar web framework
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, Bedrock, S3, CloudFormation/Terraform, and IAM
- Proven ability to design, deploy, and manage distributed systems using cloud infrastructure
- Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging large codebases and complex systems with big datasets
- Deep understanding of relational databases, including troubleshooting and performance optimization on large datasets
- Familiarity with REST API, PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis, and Git
- Results-driven approach and ability to balance practical and optimal solutions
- Experience with trading or portfolio management systems
- Experience with numpy, pandas, and/or Polars
- Background in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
