About the role
- Investment banking analyst supporting valuation, financings, M&A, and advisory mandates. Desjardins Capital Markets provides tailored capital markets solutions across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical, research and presentation preparation support to investment banking professionals
- Assist in developing client proposals for equity and debt placements, mergers, asset or company divestitures or acquisitions, and other financial products and advisory services
- Prepare financial models, primarily valuation work using comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow analysis and other appropriate metrics
- Prepare quantitative and qualitative data analyses and industry research
- Assist in preparing presentation materials for client meetings
- Support mandates involving mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity and debt financings, strategic advisory or alternatives projects, and full capital structure solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering or other related fields OR current enrollment or completion of the CFA program
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Financial modeling and valuation knowledge, including comparable company analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills
- Industry research skills
- Presentation preparation skills
