About the role
- Claims advisor handling property and auto insurance claims for Desjardins. Investigating damage, negotiating settlements and supporting members, clients and practitioners remotely.
Responsibilities
- Serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients for all claims
- Handle low-complexity property insurance claims and all types of auto insurance claims
- Investigate and approve claims in accordance with organizational standards and policies
- Investigate damage, estimate costs and market value, review reports and documents, and determine settlement amounts
- Settle claims according to standards, policies, quality commitments and contract terms
- Work with all parties involved in claims
- Negotiate agreements with providers
- Assist members, clients and practitioners
Requirements
- College diploma in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
