About the role

  • Desjardins advisory agent supporting members with cooperative banking products, transactions, fraud cases, and digital tools. Promoting financial services and personalized solutions in an on-site branch role.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and clients, listen to and address their needs, and support their financial empowerment
  • Support and advise members and clients on available financial products and services
  • Promote available distribution channels and digital solutions
  • Open accounts and assist with financial transactions
  • Identify business opportunities and refer members and clients to colleagues with specialized expertise
  • Ensure financial transactions run smoothly and address issues
  • Provide information and support on technological tools, including prevention and safety advice
  • Explain applications and technological tools that enable members and clients to complete transactions independently
  • Contribute to business development and maintain business relationships through service delivery and activities
  • Assist members and clients affected by fraud or irregularities, and monitor and process transactions to settle their cases
  • Stay current on standards, products and services
  • Uphold compliance, security and risk management standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of all counter and convenience products and services
  • Knowledge of Desjardins products and services for caisse members and those offered by business centres, components, distribution networks/channels, and competitors
  • Knowledge of integrating data into systems
  • Knowledge of security measures, legal framework, and internal controls
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of operating procedures related to convenience products, services, and transactions
