About the role

  • Senior Payroll Specialist processing multi-provincial Canadian payroll for Distro’s growing client base. Resolving client issues and supporting compliant payroll improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-provincial Canadian payroll accurately and on time for a growing client base
  • Act as the first point of escalation by troubleshooting and resolving payroll issues raised by clients
  • Process voids and tax overrides as needed
  • Input payroll data and prepare payroll runs within the payroll software
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager on special projects and process improvements
  • Apply Canadian payroll laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure full compliance
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to find resolutions when needed

Requirements

  • Experience managing multi-provincial Canadian payrolls — required
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and verbal) — required
  • PCP or PLP certification — required
  • Intermediate to strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills under pressure
  • Team player with solid communication skills
