About the role
- Senior Software Engineer building Python and SQL data pipelines for Doximity’s clinical AI healthcare platform. Designing scalable ETL and asynchronous systems to advance healthcare insights.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks for extracting insights
- Understand product requirements and translate them into actionable project plans for execution
- Establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated, and leveraged as standards by other teams
- Collaborate with Data Leadership to identify and advance meaningful projects across the commercial organization
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role
- Experience creating automated testing, applying design patterns, and other engineering best practices
- Expert proficiency in Python
- Fluency in SQL
- Experience developing maintainable data pipelines with Python and SQL
- Experience designing several data pipelines from start to finish, including technology selection, building, testing, and rollout
- Comfort identifying and applying APIs, streaming, multithreading, and other asynchronous approaches
- Understanding of monitoring and maintaining asynchronous systems
- Working knowledge of how ML/AI applications are deployed and monitored
- Ability to communicate complex concepts simply to technical and non-technical audiences
