About the role

  • Unity Developer building Unity and C# interactive learning experiences for Enable Education and RedT Kids' Media. Developing, optimizing, and deploying simulations across desktop, mobile, and WebGL platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive media, prototypes, and applications for RedT Kids' Media using Unity and C#
  • Translate creative concepts, designs, and storyboards into polished Unity experiences
  • Build interaction, UI, state, and data systems using clean, reusable code
  • Implement animation, audio, visual effects, scene flow, input, and other experience-driven features
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, animators, and developers to integrate assets and bring experiences to life
  • Work within existing Unity projects and codebases
  • Troubleshoot bugs, interaction issues, performance problems, and build failures
  • Profile and optimize responsiveness, memory use, loading times, frame rate, and stability
  • Support deployment and testing across Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and WebGL
  • Use Git/version control and participate in code reviews, QA, and shared development workflows
  • Estimate effort and communicate progress, risks, blockers, and technical constraints
  • Support Enable Education simulations, interactive training applications, and other learning experiences
  • Recommend improvements to make products more engaging, reliable, maintainable, and scalable

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience with Unity, including Unity GUI, asset bundles, materials/shaders
  • Experience deploying Unity applications for PC, macOS, Android, iOS, and web browsers (WebGL)
  • Strong knowledge of C# and JavaScript programming languages
  • Experience developing innovative ways to reach end users using gaming and simulation
  • Ability to maintain and follow test plans to resolve bugs and enhance applications
  • Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, reusable code, design patterns, and maintainable development practices
  • Ability to confidently troubleshoot and improve an existing codebase
  • Ability to work during core collaboration hours of 10:00 AM–3:00 PM EST
  • Ability to work part-time, up to 25 hours per week, with additional hours possible as project needs require
