Responsibilities
- Responsible for operation, application, investigation, and enforcement of cybersecurity systems and policies
- Monitoring systems and investigating potential threats
- Implementing and maintaining cybersecurity infrastructure
- Coordinating technical security activities and responding to incidents
- Providing regular reporting on security operations to management
- Monitoring network traffic patterns and investigating security breaches
- Reviewing user access rights and conducting threat hunting activities
- Preparing reports on cybersecurity activities and incidents
- Administering security assessments for systems containing institutional data
- Contributing to risk assessments and security audits
Requirements
- Diploma in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of two years of cybersecurity-related experience, or five years in software development, technical support, or systems administration
- Experience managing Microsoft services and web systems
- Strong knowledge of application and web security practices, system and network design, SSL, DNS, and TCP/IP networking
- Experience with firewall configuration and operation
- Intermediate experience in penetration testing, vulnerability management, secure coding, security automation, and integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience (for international education, requires assessment through IQAS, WES, or similar organizations)
