About the role
- Software Engineer building cloud infrastructure and deployment systems for Invoice Simple, EverCommerce’s invoicing platform for small businesses. Improving reliability, observability, and production operations.
Responsibilities
- Support Invoice Simple platform strategy, working on both new features and product maintenance
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and infrastructure automation
- Gather requirements, design solutions, implement, and ship code
- Partner with application teams to improve service architecture, deployment strategies, and production practices
- Improve system reliability, availability, observability, and operational readiness
- Adopt industry-best tools to increase team performance and delight customers
- Collaborate with other team members as a reliable and competent peer
- Participate in incident investigation and lead improvements that prevent recurring issues
- May require travel to EverCommerce’s Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or other office locations around North America
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems
- Strong experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, databases, and cloud architecture
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure
- Experienced in using Typescript to implement type-safe, well-organized code
- Good understanding of JavaScript tooling and ecosystem
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with native mobile development tools
- Experience building an internal developer platform or self-service infrastructure tooling
- Experience with database reliability and performance, particularly PostgreSQL or MongoDB
- Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimization
- Experience working in environments with security or compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, or similar
- Experience with progressive delivery, feature flags, canary deployments, or automated rollback strategies
- Must be eligible to work without sponsorship
