About the role
- Full Stack Developer building and scaling cloud applications for Foci Solutions, a cloud-first development organization. Delivering production software, APIs, and cloud architectures with modern engineering tools.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production-level cloud software applications
- Contribute to cloud architectures and deliver project value
- Solve clients' engineering and business problems using modern technology
- Build and scale APIs
- Implement authentication patterns, caching, and RESTful interfaces
- Apply software concepts and patterns including APIs, microservices, 12-factor apps, and domain-driven design
- Implement and utilize automated testing and CI/CD to ensure code quality and efficient delivery
- Use AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and emerging AI assistants to streamline development and accelerate delivery
- Collaborate transparently with project teams and business-oriented clients
Requirements
- 10+ years building production-level applications on GCP, Azure, or AWS using modern programming languages
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform, to provision and manage cloud resources
- Experience building and scaling APIs
- Clear understanding of authentication patterns, caching, and RESTful interfaces
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, 12-factor applications, and domain-driven design
- Drive to implement automated testing and CI/CD
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have a valid and unrestricted Work Permit
