Production Engineer ensuring compliance with manufacturing procedures and standards at Galderma. Optimizing production processes and supporting autonomous work cells for operational improvements.
Responsibilities
Ensure packaging operations comply with procedures, timelines, health and safety regulations, standards, and Canadian and U.S. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Support the autonomous work cell assigned to you.
Improve processes and methods to reduce operating costs.
Identify optimizations to reduce labor costs.
Determine work methods and cycle times for production operations for existing and new products.
Participate in resolving performance issues (health & safety, quality, productivity, etc.) related to work methods.
Work on the deployment and maintenance plan for standardized work methods.
Evaluate potential improvements and prioritize them according to objectives (e.g., time/money savings, reduction of non-value-added activities, etc.).
Lead and coordinate projects to standardize work methods and operation sequences (in collaboration with operators, technicians, supervisors, and specialists).
Analyze processes affecting changeover operations and lead improvement projects to reduce changeover time.
Calculate and analyze production yields and performance.
Monitor standards and analyze deviations in Horoquartz.
Prepare necessary production documentation.
Optimize resource utilization.
Request quotes from Purchasing for all operational needs.
Review technical routings/work instructions with Technical Specialists.
Plan in advance the preliminary and specific operations to be performed.
Resolve technical issues or escalate them to Maintenance.
Contribute to productivity improvement.
Monitor and optimize scheduling.
Propose corrective actions in collaboration with Maintenance.
Requirements
University degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree/relevant experience
2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry
Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, is essential
Asset: Knowledge of SMED and operational excellence best practices
Experience in change management
Strong influencing skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
