About the role

Technical Trainer delivering Genetec security software training to customers, partners, and employees. Creating course materials and supporting in-person and cloud-based learning.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical training to Genetec customers, resellers, distributors, and internal staff
Update existing training materials to reflect changes in new product releases
Create training presentations, manuals, course outlines, and digital reference materials
Contribute to improving training documentation and tools
Maintain current, in-depth knowledge of Genetec products and functionality
Participate in classroom setup, lab and exam grading, and course question follow-up
Facilitate instructor-led technical courses using servers, clients, networks, and devices
Facilitate online instructor-led courses using a cloud-based virtual environment and LMS
Communicate course feedback to internal teams to support process and product improvements
Convey technical knowledge to audiences ranging from end users to administrators
Prepare for future training sessions and update training content from a home office
Travel frequently within the assigned commercial territory and occasionally overseas

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of experience delivering technical training, preferably software training
Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time to deliver training
Exceptional presentation and communication skills
Fluency in both spoken and written French and English; additional languages are an asset
Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems and virtual machines
Excellent knowledge of networking principles and IP configuration
Experience with database concepts and client-server environments
Experience with technical troubleshooting methods
Experience with physical access control systems
Experience with video management systems
Experience delivering online training and working with e-learning and LMS platforms
Experience with cloud-based technologies and cybersecurity concepts
