About the role

  • Engineering Manager leading technical teams for nuclear new plant projects at GE Vernova. Fostering project management, design specifications, and regulatory compliance in engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and managerial leadership for a diverse team
  • Inspire, hire, coach and ensure the development of the team’s technical and leadership talent/depth
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal engineering team managers, business leaders, project managers, and stakeholders
  • Interface with external partners, customers, and regulatory agencies on technical issues
  • Plan, organize and manage the delivery of technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverables
  • Drive design development in advanced simulated assisted engineering tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline or similar
  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project leadership experience
  • At least 8 years of experience in the nuclear industry/safety critical industry or equivalent large scale new build experience in the power industry
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to think strategically
  • High performing energetic leader with demonstrated ability to deliver results
  • Expertise in one or more of the system areas defined in the Job Description Summary above
  • Knowledge of US NRC and/or CNSC licensing requirements
  • Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) experience and knowledge; specifically, power plants
  • Understanding of nuclear industry and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.) in Ontario
