Responsibilities
- Provide technical and managerial leadership for a diverse team
- Inspire, hire, coach and ensure the development of the team’s technical and leadership talent/depth
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal engineering team managers, business leaders, project managers, and stakeholders
- Interface with external partners, customers, and regulatory agencies on technical issues
- Plan, organize and manage the delivery of technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverables
- Drive design development in advanced simulated assisted engineering tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline or similar
- At least 12 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project leadership experience
- At least 8 years of experience in the nuclear industry/safety critical industry or equivalent large scale new build experience in the power industry
- Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to think strategically
- High performing energetic leader with demonstrated ability to deliver results
- Expertise in one or more of the system areas defined in the Job Description Summary above
- Knowledge of US NRC and/or CNSC licensing requirements
- Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) experience and knowledge; specifically, power plants
- Understanding of nuclear industry and technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.) in Ontario
