About the role

  • Logistics Coordinator coordinating waste receiving, dispatch, fleet records, and driver compliance for GFL Environmental. Supporting seamless waste-management service delivery across Hamilton, Brantford, and Mississauga.

Responsibilities

  • Support scheduling services and customer service changes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with Dispatch, Laboratory, and Operations to verify and track incoming waste inventories.
  • Document incoming waste using manifests, bills of lading, and work orders within OMS.
  • Complete waste receiving processes in OMS, including scanning and attaching driver documentation and preparing files for billing review.
  • Support dispatch service calls and routes based on routing plans and driver locations.
  • Perform end-of-day driver check-ins and review route sheets for complete and accurate paperwork.
  • Prepare purchase orders and assist with scheduling outbound facility shipments.
  • Track on-site waste inventory and coordinate outgoing shipment documentation.
  • Maintain and update the driver training matrix and monitor certification status.
  • Support onboarding activities for new hires, including training coordination and documentation.
  • Maintain fleet maintenance data and ensure maintenance records are complete and current.
  • Reconcile data discrepancies with Fleet, Logistics, and Operations teams.
  • Record and distribute driver documentation to appropriate departments.
  • Support compliance with environmental, transportation, safety, and company regulatory requirements.
  • Work with routing specialists to optimize routes.
  • Handle incoming customer calls and emails.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business administration or related fields is considered an asset.
  • G License and access to personal vehicle
  • Desire and motivation to gain knowledge about the waste management industry
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Valid work authorization in Canada; GFL does not provide visa sponsorship.
