About the role

Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and adapt building electrical systems
- Provide technical supervision, coordination, verification, and design for building electrical projects
- Prepare technical specifications and reports
- Conduct inspections under supervision to assess the quality of work and the integrity of existing installations or structures
- Recommend corrective work to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements
- Survey existing installations as needed
- Assist the Senior Engineer in defining project scopes and proposals
- Assist with estimating electrical construction costs
- Coordinate teams of technicians and various internal and external stakeholders
- Work according to a project management plan to achieve specific objectives
- Mentor technicians and junior engineers
- Contribute to client management on behalf of more senior business development professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- 5 to 10 years of experience
- Strong practical knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and standards, as well as applicable industry standards and regulations
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience working in a BIM environment
- Knowledge of ElumTools, AGi32, or ETAP is considered an asset
- Interest in mentoring less experienced team members
- Initiative, autonomy, resourcefulness, and a strong motivation to learn
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Fluency in spoken and written French
- Fluency in spoken and written English is considered an asset
