About the role

  • Software Engineer designing and evolving CI/CD systems for a leading AI customer service solution for banks and credit unions. Working closely with engineering teams to improve reliability and developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve the internal platform that enables 100+ engineers at Glia to build, test, and deploy software safely, quickly, and reliably.
  • Own and improve our CI/CD systems, GitHub workflows, deployment pipelines, and Kubernetes standards.
  • Help define the “golden path” for how services are built and run across the company.
  • Blend infrastructure engineering, automation, and systems design with strong product thinking.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to reduce cognitive load, improve reliability, and increase cost visibility.
  • Create a seamless developer experience from first commit to production.
  • Influence architecture decisions and strengthen our cloud and deployment foundations.
  • Help scale our engineering organization as we serve enterprise financial institutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in building and maintaining reliable and highly available systems.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), running containerised applications (e.g., Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD platforms (e.g., Github Actions, Gitlab CI).
  • Prior experience leading complex projects affecting multiple teams.
  • At home with the Linux/Unix tools and ecosystem.
  • An enthusiast for Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
  • Experience in coding that extends beyond scripting (Elixir/Ruby/Go is a plus).
  • A proactive approach, taking initiative on projects and driving them forward without detailed instructions.
  • Comfort with engaging multiple stakeholders and navigating different opinions.
  • The ability to dive deep into problems, form opinions, and communicate with other teams when needed.
  • Comfort with talking to engineers, curiosity about their problems, empathy for their issues, and a desire to help them be more efficient.
