About the role
- Field Safety Specialist providing expertise in health and safety. Collaborating with Grainger’s sales managers to ensure alignment with safety initiatives in clients' regions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer needs to identify and understand their health and safety concerns
- Provide tailored solutions that reduce costs or increase efficiency
- Solicit feedback throughout the process to refine solutions
- Implement solutions by collaborating with internal and external resources
- Monitor implementation to ensure business needs are met
- Advise Grainger sellers on strategy and guidance for health and safety opportunities
- Maintain expertise through relevant safety qualifications and certifications
- Promote customers' understanding and use of Grainger’s standard products and services
Requirements
- Strong business and safety acumen
- More than 2 years' experience in an environment involving safety risk analysis and assessment
- Bilingual (French and English) required
- Ability to manage projects and drive results
- Experience inspecting and analyzing workplaces
- Understanding of safety regulations, safety applications, and safety violations
- Ability to learn and understand Grainger's sales process
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in applying and using information and communication technologies
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
