About the role

  • Director of Product Management leading a high-performing team to shape Granicus products. Driving innovation and strategic product development for civic technology solutions to strengthen democracy.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Granicus’s 3–5 year vision into a clear, actionable product roadmap aligned with business goals, customer needs, and financial outcomes.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, continuous improvement, and effective use of AI in product discovery, delivery, and decision-making.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility.
  • Advocate for user-centric design and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Implementation, Support, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure seamless product delivery and go-to-market execution.
  • Establish and refine product management processes, tools, and best practices to scale product development effectively.
  • Represent Granicus externally and internally as a product evangelist, articulating our vision and value proposition to stakeholders and customers, and helping shape how AI can responsibly accelerate product strategy, execution, and customer impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success managing and scaling product teams in an Agile environment.
  • A servant-leader mindset with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to connect the dots between market trends, customer needs, and business objectives to craft compelling product strategies.
  • Skilled at breaking down complex problems into clear, actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communicator who can influence across all levels of the organization, from engineers to executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead AI adoption within product organizations, including coaching Product Managers to use AI tools effectively for research, prioritization, writing, experimentation, and team productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product success and profitability through strategic planning and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Math) or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed environment is a strong plus.
  • Nice to have: experience in Agenda Management, Video Streaming, and Records Request markets for SaaS products.
