About the role
- Senior Platform Engineer building backend data infrastructure for GrowthLoop’s composable CDP and agentic marketing platform. Operating distributed services, APIs, cloud warehouse integrations, and real-time capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend services moving data from warehouse queries to downstream systems
- Improve event handling, query execution, result transformation, and delivery coordination
- Investigate customer problems, identify solutions, and test and measure outcomes
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations across major cloud data warehouses
- Support the product’s move toward real-time capabilities
- Participate in the platform team’s on-call rotation and respond to production issues
- Restore service, communicate with stakeholders, and improve reliability and incident resolution
- Fix correctness, performance, reliability, security, and operability problems
- Build shared components, automation, documentation, and tools
- Support engineers through code reviews, context sharing, mentoring, communication, and follow-through
- Leverage AI tools daily and help build ML and agentic products
Requirements
- 5+ years of production coding experience
- Strong foundation in Python
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
- Deep experience designing, building, and maintaining services, including end-to-end ownership and on-call
- Experience with backend-heavy systems and distributed architectures
- Experience with GCP or AWS
- Experience building for reliability, security, and observability at scale
- Experience using frontier technology such as AI agents
- Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and change
