About the role
- Senior Accountant supporting close, payables, receivables, and financial planning. Scaling technology-driven finance operations for HiddenLayer’s AI cybersecurity platform.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations for the monthly financial close
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Own accounts payable and vendor payment processing, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment runs
- Assist with customer billing and accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections follow-up, and cash application
- Partner with Finance leaders on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning initiatives
- Support day-to-day accounting operations while maintaining strong internal controls
- Identify opportunities to automate accounting workflows and improve operational efficiency through technology, AI, and process improvements
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
- Support external audits, compliance activities, and special projects
- Report directly to the Controller and help scale the finance function
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3-5+ years of finance or accounting experience
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification is strongly preferred
- Public accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four or national/regional public accounting firm, is highly valued
- Experience in a SaaS, software, or high-growth technology company is preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience supporting month-end close and preparing financial statements
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and leveraging AI and automation to improve finance processes
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Salesforce, Maxio, or similar cloud-based financial systems is a plus
