About the role
- Senior Data Engineer developing data platforms for IntactLab. Leading team efforts in data ingestion, transformation, and analytics with a focus on business impact.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve our data platform, which is used on a large scale for business decisions and high-impact innovative initiatives
- Design, develop, and optimize ingestion and transformation pipelines (batch and real-time)
- Model robust analytical data (star, Data Vault, bronze/silver/gold) for BI and data science
- Improve reliability, performance, and governance (security, cataloging, quality, costs)
- Collaborate with analysts, testers, architects, and stakeholders to translate needs into solutions
- Provide technical guidance to the team, promote best practices (code reviews, standards, tests, documentation), and drive change
- Contribute to an Agile culture (Scrum/Kanban) focused on value and incremental delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering or equivalent
- 5–7 years in software/data engineering, including ETL/ELT and large-scale data warehousing
- Proficient in data modeling and analytical architectures
- Excellent SQL skills and optimization; hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Strong knowledge of Unix and the Cloud ecosystem (preferably AWS)
- Python and Java (a plus)
- Experience with CI/CD, automated data testing, quality/observability
- Basic understanding of AI/machine learning (advantageous for collaborating with Data Science)
- Bilingual (French/English) – Required to interact regularly with colleagues across the country.
