About the role
- Manual QA Engineer testing InvestEngine’s ETF investing platform across web, APIs, SQL, and mobile. Owning quality throughout the customer journey within a fast-moving Growth team.
Responsibilities
- Manually test frontend and backend features
- Collaborate with developers and marketers to clarify requirements
- Identify gaps, propose improvements, and evolve QA processes
- Perform basic API testing using Postman
- Write and run simple SQL queries to validate data
- Use proxy tools for deeper request/response validation
- Support mobile app regression testing when needed
- Own quality across the customer journey from landing page and registration through onboarding to analytics
- Work with protocols, regulations, and third-party providers
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, marketers, and external partners, often in English
Requirements
- 3+ years of manual QA experience focused on web applications
- Solid knowledge of test design techniques
- Hands-on experience testing APIs and using Postman
- Technical literacy in HTML/CSS, client-server architecture, and basic debugging
- Ability to write SQL queries to validate backend logic
- Confidence using proxy tools such as Charles or Fiddler
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working without micromanagement
- Clear communication and effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams
- Experience testing mobile apps (Android/iOS) is a plus
- Interest in improving QA workflows and processes is a plus
- Familiarity with automation tools or AI-assisted testing is a plus
- Previous experience in product-first companies or marketing-driven environments is a plus
