About the role
- Business Data Analyst improving product decisions for LawDepot’s legal-document platform. Designing experiments, analyzing customer behaviour, and translating insights into roadmap recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Owners to design and plan experiments
- Define experiment requirements, assumptions, and limitations
- Analyze experiment data, customer behaviour, usage patterns, and performance drivers
- Lead multiple analytical initiatives and recommend next steps
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover behaviour trends, friction points, and growth opportunities
- Use AI tools to research internal documentation and tools, support SQL and code development, and review analytical work
- Build dashboards and automated reports
- Translate business questions into measurable metrics
- Deliver data-based recommendations and actionable next steps
- Improve tracking plans, event quality, and attribution logic
- Write and optimize SQL queries and notebooks
- Communicate analysis results, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with analysts to review results, refine methodologies, and strengthen analytical approaches
- Influence product roadmaps across conversion, engagement, and renewals
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or another related program
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, product analytics, or data science
- Strong statistical judgment, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, sample size and power considerations, and distinguishing meaningful findings from noise
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex analysis clearly
- Solid understanding of statistics and experiment analysis
- Proficiency in SQL, including joins, aggregations, and filtering logic
- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
- Familiarity with Python for data analysis and visualization, including pandas and Matplotlib
- Ability to manage multiple experiments and analyses simultaneously
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Visualizations, and Formulas
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects
- Strong interest in data analysis and willingness to investigate unexpected results
- Experience using AI-enabled development environments such as Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code, or Copilot
