About the role

  • Senior Software Engineer at Lillio leading a team to design and maintain web applications for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

  • You are an engineer who likes to win and loves seeing product deliver value to customers! Not only do you help solve technical problems, but you do so through a product-lens; you have a deep understanding of both engineering and product management frameworks and know how to apply them to achieve results
  • You are a true leader within the organization - You bring enthusiasm and motivation within and across teams for our customers, company, team culture, and the individuals you manage.
  • Manage the professional and technical growth and development of a diverse team of engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, objectives setting, tracking career growth, etc.
  • Continuously improve engineering practices and processes within your team and the engineering organization.
  • Take a leadership role in our recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes & maintain our commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Collaborate across teams to design, build, and ship great experiences for our users.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of industry trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, and participate in internal and external technical communities.
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization.
  • Shape and scale our Lillio engineering and company culture as we continue to grow.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience leading/managing software development teams.
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to engage in and guide technical discussions, or be hands-on when needed.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for partnering with Product, Design, and other stakeholder teams.
  • Proven ability to align roadmap with business objectives.
