About the role
- Linguist (UAT Tester) ensuring high-quality Canadian French content for AI systems. Responsible for localization QA and UAT testing with editing and reviewing tasks.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit content within LILT to ensure high linguistic quality in Canadian French.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform in-context validation within the customer’s CMS or product environment.
- Identify, document, and correct in-context localization issues, including layout overflow, text truncation, spacing problems, punctuation errors, and other linguistic or UI-related inconsistencies.
- Ensure Italian content is natural, accurate, and visually and functionally correct when displayed in real product interfaces.
- At times, directly implement approved edits within the CMS environment, following established guidelines and permissions.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in French (Canada)
- Strong command of English for reporting and communication
- Experience in linguistic QA, localization testing, or UAT testing
- Linguist qualification: Degree in linguistics, translation, languages, or related field OR 2+ years of experience in localization QA / linguistic testing OR 5+ years of professional language-related experience
