About the role

  • Senior frontend engineer modernizing Bridge’s mission-critical learning and career-development platform. Owning React, TypeScript, microfrontends, accessibility, and strategic feature delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own frontend development for Bridge’s large, mission-critical core application
  • Ship new features and fix complex bugs
  • Modernize legacy frontend code
  • Collaborate on project architecture
  • Oversee microfrontend frameworks across 20+ production applications
  • Lead cross-functional team initiatives
  • Work with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features
  • Build React and TypeScript frontends using React 19 and legacy React/JavaScript where applicable
  • Develop and maintain shared components and locale-aware interfaces
  • Implement accessibility through semantic HTML, keyboard support, screen-reader support, and WCAG conformance
  • Use TanStack Query, React Context, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, MSW, and Storybook
  • Monitor frontend performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals
  • Integrate with Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin Spring Boot, databases, messaging, and search services
  • Participate in CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure, and team processes using GitHub Actions, Datadog, Terraform, SAFe, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Google Workspace

Requirements

  • Seasoned/senior frontend engineering experience
  • Deep, production-proven experience with React and TypeScript
  • Strong frontend fundamentals
  • Experience building accessible interfaces to WCAG standards
  • Ability to navigate and modernize large, under-documented legacy codebases
  • Ability to understand high-level architecture and connect legacy logic with modern services
  • Experience across multiple technology stacks
  • Working familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, Apache Pulsar, Debezium, AWS Neptune, AWS OpenSearch, GitHub Actions, Datadog, Terraform, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Google Workspace
  • Ability to work collaboratively with product owners, designers, and backend engineers
  • Direct communication and comfort with constructive technical feedback
  • Microfrontend or module-federation experience is a bonus
  • Rails or JVM familiarity is a bonus
  • Terraform and CI/CD depth is a bonus
  • Graph or search infrastructure experience is a bonus
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agents is a bonus
