About the role

  • Software Developer Co-op writing production code and developing features for Magnet Forensics’ digital investigative software. Debugging and collaborating within the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate fully into the software development team
  • Become familiar with the codebase
  • Work through bugs and basic features
  • Write production code
  • Progress to developing more complex features
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to digital investigative software that acquires, analyzes, and shares evidence from computers, smartphones, tablets, and IoT-related devices

Requirements

  • Student working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills
  • Programming experience with Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, or Python
  • Accountability and ownership of projects
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Background check required for employment
  • Canadian work location indicated as Waterloo/Ottawa, Ontario
