About the role
- Front-end developer creating beautiful, functional and responsive websites for Medavie. Collaborating with a team to build and maintain single-page applications based on UX designs.
Responsibilities
- Create single-page applications that integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Maintain existing websites and applications
- Get familiar with team standards, tools and frameworks
- Improve user experience by working in collaboration with a team of UX professionals
- Deliver high-quality applications through test-driven development and web automation, peer review and QA process
- Managing individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables within our project management practice
- Staying current into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Requirements
- 2-5 years working experience doing UX/UI development for software, websites, or web applications which leverage emergent technologies
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or similar program
- Strong knowledge of semantic HTML
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and extensive experience with frameworks or libraries such as Vue.js or React.js
- Strong Knowledge of CSS, preprocessors like SASS/LESS, and frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind
- Knowledge of RESTful integration patterns and methods
- Knowledge responsive design techniques
- Knowledge of GIT or other versioning tools
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 level AA accessibility guidelines is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Java and frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate is considered an asset
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology is considered an asset
- Knowledge of cloud and container technologies such as Docker, AWS, Azure is considered an asset
- Strongly motivated individual that has an interest to learn
- Attention to detail
- Language Skills: English, written and spoken. French would be considered an asset.
