About the role
- Senior WordPress Developer at Search Atlas, responsible for leading a team and building web solutions. Working remotely to create scalable, secure sites for clients and internal projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers by providing guidance, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web solutions using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Define and enforce technical standards and best practices for the team
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to define project scope
- Oversee website hosting, domain management, and infrastructure with a focus on performance, security, and uptime
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and Elementor websites
- Lead the implementation of technical and on-page SEO best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress and/or Shopify development
- Deep proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Solid experience with the Next.js framework
- Strong Figma proficiency — you can navigate prototypes, inspect specs, and independently translate designs into fully responsive, production-ready builds without ambiguity or hand-holding
- Experience delivering both internal web properties and client-facing projects from Figma through to launch
- Hands-on, production experience with Claude Code
- Hands-on experience with Elementor and Webflow
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication skills.
