Responsibilities
- You will play a key role in fulfilling our daily commitment to customers to meet Messer's highest customer service standards.
- The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the go-to-market strategy, providing branch and sales force support by delivering technical expertise in welding and cutting and providing technical support to the sales team during quotations and bids.
- Perform troubleshooting, training and demonstrations of welding equipment.
- Develop cost-benefit analyses with the commercial/sales team for key existing and prospective customers.
- Work with the sales representative to identify existing and new opportunities.
- Collaborate with QA/QC, engineering and the customer's end users to identify proven solutions.
- Provide product information, training and demonstrations to branch staff and customers.
- Provide technical guidance to sales staff for equipment selection and quotation preparation.
- Support and implement all sales strategies and campaigns.
- Work safely at all times.
Requirements
- College diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
- College diploma in metallurgy or equivalent with relevant experience.
- 5 years' experience in welding and cutting (sales or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years' welding experience in an industrial environment.
- Red Seal certification or Certified Welding Inspector.
- Proficiency in manual, automated and robotic welding processes, as well as oxy-fuel heating and cutting.
- Knowledge of welding codes and standards, welding procedure specifications (WPS), technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
- High level of computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.
