Responsibilities
You will play a key role in fulfilling our daily commitment to customers to meet Messer's highest customer service standards.
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the go-to-market strategy, providing branch and sales force support by delivering technical expertise in welding and cutting and providing technical support to the sales team during quotations and bids.
Perform troubleshooting, training and demonstrations of welding equipment.
Develop cost-benefit analyses with the commercial/sales team for key existing and prospective customers.
Work with the sales representative to identify existing and new opportunities.
Collaborate with QA/QC, engineering and the customer's end users to identify proven solutions.
Provide product information, training and demonstrations to branch staff and customers.
Provide technical guidance to sales staff for equipment selection and quotation preparation.
Support and implement all sales strategies and campaigns.
Work safely at all times.
Requirements
College diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
College diploma in metallurgy or equivalent with relevant experience.
5 years' experience in welding and cutting (sales or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years' welding experience in an industrial environment.
Red Seal certification or Certified Welding Inspector.
Proficiency in manual, automated and robotic welding processes, as well as oxy-fuel heating and cutting.
Knowledge of welding codes and standards, welding procedure specifications (WPS), technical drawings and electrical schematics.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
High level of computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.
