About the role
- Staff Mobile Engineer building native Swift and Kotlin mobile products for Method, a GlobalLogic digital engineering consultancy. Leading architecture, stakeholder communication, testing, and developer-community support.
Responsibilities
- Build business-critical mobile applications and engaging digital products
- Participate in the full spectrum of product development, from compelling experiences through maintenance, usability, testing, support, and distribution
- Work with small, cross-functional teams across a wide variety of projects
- Lead communication with project stakeholders and explain technical constraints to technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide general internal developer community support
- Connect with other leads to enhance Tech Lead support and understand different approaches
- Contribute to UI and business logic layer design and architecture
- Develop products in Swift on iOS and Kotlin on Android
- Share knowledge and help the team grow
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working on large development projects
- Experience using Kotlin, Compose and/or Swift SwiftUI
- Experience with mobile platforms and native mobile application development
- Ability to articulate the difference between progressive enhancement and graceful degradation
- Understanding of the importance of animation in an interface
- Ability to stay current with evolving mobile tools like Kotlin Multiplatform and Bitrise
- Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment
