About the role

  • Early-career associate supporting Marsh Risk, a global insurance broking and risk management firm. Placing credit-risk insurance solutions and managing financial institution client accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a team member for key accounts for the Financial Institution Practice in Credit Specialties
  • Drive account activities, manage timelines and accountabilities, assure service meets or exceeds expectations, and protect the company from Errors & Omissions
  • Assist with marketing and successful placement of client transactions with insurance partners
  • Draft market submissions, negotiate competitive terms, and assist in insurance structuring and wording negotiations
  • Set up meetings, coordinate key initiatives, and strategize on complex placements
  • Research markets and industries to identify resources, new growth areas, trends, and expansion opportunities
  • Input data accurately and promptly for reporting, stewardship meetings, servicing, and new business opportunity and trend analyses
  • Manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks, apply judgement on escalation of major issues, and ensure compliance
  • Develop relationships with professional counterparts at client organizations and insurance partners
  • Attend industry events and conferences to build a professional network, maintain market proximity, and represent the Company
  • Develop technical skills through practice, Company, and industry training sessions and conferences

Requirements

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree between May 2025 and August 2026, focused in Business, Finance or Economics
  • Understanding of Credit Risk concepts and strong financial analysis skills
  • Experience as Broker or Underwriter through a summer internship, co-op or similar experience
  • Ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships, with a focus on cross-group collaboration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and strong attention to detail
  • Broker license (Ontario or Quebec) obtained within 3 months after onboarding or currently held
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Bilingual English and French is a standout qualification
  • CPA or CFA, or working towards it, is a standout qualification
  • Credit or Political Risks Insurance (CPRI) experience is a standout qualification
