About the role
- Contracts Specialist managing SaaS agreements for Modern Campus, an education technology platform serving colleges and universities. Supporting high-volume legal operations, sales cycles, and CLM workflows.
Responsibilities
- Support the Legal Department’s contract management process
- Draft, review and redline SaaS contracts according to established templates, processes, terms and company standards
- Review RFP documentation and prepare responses to legal/contract questions
- Prepare contract amendments and addendums and support account management
- Record contract intake, store and retrieve contracts, and document contract exceptions
- Ensure timely contract turnaround while maintaining appropriate risk controls
- Use CLM platforms and AI-enabled tools for contract review, redlining, workflow management and reporting
- Track contractual obligations, key commercial terms, renewal timelines and compliance requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for scalability and operational efficiency
- Work with stakeholders including Sales and Finance; report to the Director, Legal
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in contract management and commercial legal operations in B2B SaaS companies or technology companies
- Post-secondary legal training or education in Law
- Experience managing high-volume contracting in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Experience working with sales teams and multiple business units
- Knowledge of Salesforce and DocuSign CLM is an asset
