About the role
- Data Engineering Lead leading teams in designing and building data solutions for Morgan Stanley. Focusing on data platforms, microservices, and large datasets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop one or more teams in the Application and Data Engineering team
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient data platform solutions
- Collaborate with application teams to design and deploy microservices-based architectures
- Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization
Requirements
- At least 12 years' relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced understanding and experience in building data pipelines, data engineering and database technologies like IBM DB2, Postgres, Snowflake
- Experience in working with large datasets using a combination of technology (Big data platforms like Hadoop)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and scripting languages like Python, Perl
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership.
- Experience with reporting tools such as PowerBI, and Tableau.
