Data Analyst Co-op role at Motorola Solutions focusing on data analysis and solution development. Collaborating with internal teams to translate data insights into business value.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting data analysis from multiple sources, generating reports, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Assist in identifying data dependencies between systems, conducting validation checks, and data audits to verify integrity during the migration and integration lifecycle, and learning to resolve discrepancies
Support data mapping, cleansing, and transformation processes to ensure consistency across source systems
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve business objectives
Document data workflows, schemas, and mapping rules to facilitate team knowledge sharing.
Learn and apply best practices regarding data governance, security, and quality control.
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize data workflows and improve processes

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Solid foundational knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write queries for data manipulation, extraction, and analysis within relational databases.
Familiar with Python, specifically for data manipulation (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and automation tasks.
Strong understanding of core data modeling concepts and data migration methodologies.
Hand-on experience creating dashboards and reports in visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to present analytical results.
Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
