About the role
- Field engineer responsible for upgrading radio communication systems and providing technical support to clients across Canada. Leading presentations and ensuring system integrity during upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer presentations
- System staging
- Complete system documentation
- Live system upgrades
- Ensure the integrity of the architecture/design
- Perform field engineering duties during radio system upgrade cycles
- Upgrade/deploy various devices including network equipment, Windows-based devices, virtual machines, and Motorola proprietary devices
- Serve as a customer-facing technical resource during upgrade efforts
- Travel to customer sites across multiple provinces in Canada
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, or broadband/LTE
- Experience working with Project 25 products (trunked and conventional)
- Experience with logging/recording systems
- Fluent in both English and French
- Licensed Professional Engineer or possess the academic and work experience required to obtain accreditation
- Strongly preferred residence in BC, AB, or QC with close proximity to a major airport
