Responsibilities
- Staff develop and lead one or more teams which are part of the department
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient data platform solutions using Big data platforms on HDFS/S3 using Apache Spark, Python, Kubernetes
- Collaborate with application teams to design and deploy microservices-based architectures
- Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Look to develop new solutions using GenAI
Requirements
- At least 12 years' relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced understanding and experience in building data pipelines, data engineering and database technologies like IBM DB2, Postgres, Snowflake
- Experience in working with large datasets using Big data platforms like Hadoop, storage using HDFS/S3, access using Apache Spark
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and scripting languages like Python, Perl
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership
